IN A TIME OF ISOLATION —
find shared strength and connection
Online group support for professionals who give a damn and are done being wrecked by systems that don’t.
Serving clients locally in DC, Maryland, Virginia, and Texas — and globally for those in international or cross cultural professions.
Life is hard enough. You don’t have to do it alone.
When you're carrying significant responsibilities, whether in demanding professions or caring for loved ones, it can be easy to feel like you're on an island. Group support offers a powerful antidote to that isolation, providing a space to connect with others who understand the unique pressures you face. Sharing experiences, challenges, and insights within a supportive community can foster a sense of belonging and offer fresh perspectives you might not find elsewhere.
At KonTerra Counseling, our group support services are designed to create these vital connections. Led by experienced clinicians, our groups provide a confidential and non-judgmental environment where you can explore shared experiences, learn coping strategies from peers, and build a network of understanding. Engaging with others who "get it" can be incredibly validating and empowering, reminding you that you're not alone in navigating life's complexities and looking for ease, purpose, and joy.
Maybe you’re noticing:
You are hungry to be with others who share similar experiences
You are feeling alone in your personal or professional identity
You would benefit from accountability and support in meeting your goals
You are longing to learn from the perspective and wisdom of others
Life is hard enough. You don’t have to do it alone.

Employed But Seething & Grieving
International humanitarian and development professionals have had to absorb job losses and lengthy job searches. The relief of finding a new role may be tempered by continuing anger and grief, a new role that feels like you’re selling out, or feeling guilty because you’re unhappy when so many are still looking for work.
We are launching a 4-session support group specifically for current and former humanitarian and development professionals whose work was disrupted by the cuts to foreign assistance, are back in the workforce, and struggling with the emotional wake of traumatic job loss. It offers a confidential space to be with others who understand your day-to-day reality.
Launch: September 16, 2026
