specializing in supporting bipoc women, adolescents, and young adults. My work centers on those seeking recovery as well as those striving to maintain it

I will help you build confidence, connection, and self-awareness.

I have extensive experience working with clients navigating depression; work stress; life transitions; trauma including racial trauma; anxiety; grief; and addiction/substance use. I strive to help clients build confidence, connection, and self-awareness while developing the skills and resources needed to manage distressing symptoms effectively.

I specialize in supporting BIPOC women, adolescents (ages 15–18), and young adults (ages 18–22) as they navigate life’s challenges. My work centers on individuals who are seeking recovery, as well as those who are currently in recovery and striving to maintain it.

how will our partnership Support you?

Therapy is a space for self-exploration—a place to gain deeper insight into your motivations, patterns, and goals. Together, we’ll work to understand and resolve the feelings, anxieties, and worries that may be holding you back, so you can move toward the life and relationships you truly want. My goal is to create a collaborative and supportive environment where you feel safe, heard, understood, and empowered.

what fuels my passion for this work?

My goal to do this work was solidified 25 years ago while working at an HIV testing and counseling program. It was there that I witnessed the profound impact of showing up for someone in a moment when their life was shifting dramatically from what they had expected or hoped for. That experience sparked a deep commitment in me—to develop the skills and insight needed to offer meaningful, informed support to others during their most difficult and transformative times.

what is the training and expertise that informs my work?

I have a Master’s in Counseling from Marymount University in Virginia and am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. My trauma-informed approach integrates psychoeducation, emotional regulation techniques, and strategies to restore agency and autonomy. I draw from Existential Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing to support meaningful change. In addition, I have a Financial Social Work Certification.
