SPECIALIZING IN WORKING WITH PEOPLE IN HIGH-STRESS ENVIRONMENTS, CHILDREN AND ADULTS IMPACTED BY TRAUMA AND GRIEF, AND PEOPLE NAVIGATING DIFFICULT LIFE TRANSITIONS

I will be your partner in healing — helping you see the patterns in your relationships and weaving new ways of living.

I tailor evidence-based approaches to each client's unique situation, specializing in treatment of traumatic stress, anxiety, depression, grief, ADHD, and more. I meet clients where they are -- whether they want a "tune-up" of coping skills or a deep dive to find the root causes of distress -- I will help you meet your specific goals.

how will our partnership Support you?

A session with me gives you a trusted partner who will help you explore your experiences, understand pain points, and gain practical skills to persevere through life's challenges. With compassion and a strengths-based perspective, I will challenge you to grow and adapt in new ways.

what fuels my passion for this work?

My interest in mental health was inspired by the first half of my career working in international relief and development. Focusing on family and community-based interventions has instilled a deep appreciation for resiliency across cultures. My wide experience equips me to walk alongside clients and find solutions that fit their lives. I  want clients to feel the warmth and safety they need to face painful issues -- as well as hope and humor along the way!

what is the training and expertise that informs my work?

I have a Master’s in Counseling from Loyola University in Maryland and am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. I have advanced training in treatment of traumatic stress across the lifespan. I incorporate Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and attachment-based interventions. I have expertise in child development and child therapy and work with kids of all ages, utilizing play therapy and Parent Child Interaction Therapy approaches.

i can work with clients who live in:

Maryland, Washington DC, and outside of the United States

what might you find me doing when i’m not working?

I enjoy kayaking, reading science fiction, and hosting backyard bonfires.

My hope is that clients expand their imagination of what is possible -- that they can indeed feel better and live in new ways.
